NEWS FROM THE DISTRICT

Hello everyone!

A District Meeting was held at Montgomery County Moose Lodge 1470 on Sunday May 3. I would like to thank our members for their outstanding attendance. Many items of information concerning events at each lodge in our district are offered during these meetings and I would urge each and every member to attend in the future. Our Lodge won the "Travelling Trophy" with participation of sixteen of our members.

Every meeting is followed by a meal provided by the host lodge and as a bonus you get to visit many of the lodges in our district. This is one place to get updated on information concerning our Order. Your home Lodge is another. Attendance at these meetings keeps you up to date on the projects and activities that your fraternity provides.

Our District made 110% of our membership quota for the year. We really need to work on retention of members so we can keep our lodges and fraternity growing.

Our next meeting will be held at Roanoke MFC on Sunday July 12. The election of new district officers will take place at that time. Anyone interested in running for office should contact me.
